Price Bloodstock led by John and Katrina Price is focused on producing elite Standardbred horses to compete in classic races.

At the heart of this vision is the boutique PB broodmare band which has been carefully curated to feature the best pedigrees and performers of New Zealand, Australia and USA.

Industry-leading bloodlines are complemented by premium nutrition, care and education of PB horses in the renowned Southland environment. 

The PB Business model is centred on breeding top quality horses to sell at the NZB Standardbred National Yearling Sales. Some fillies are retained for racing and as future PB broodmares.

Named the 2025 New Zealand Breeders of the Year, John and Katrina are hands-on in all aspects of their Standardbred Breeding and Harness Racing operation.
